Families continue to pursue adoption from Liberia, however, not at the same pace as one year ago when the program was new and opening up. Dossiers are traveling both to WACSN www.wacsn.org and Acres of Hope www.acresofhope.org . WACSN has recently released a new policy requiring families to stay in Monrovia with their children for two weeks before departing to Ghana for the visa. This new policy comes from a strong commitment to their children and a desire to provide the opportunity for bonding as well as parental exposure and appreciation of their child's culture and homeland.
Continued prayer is appreciated for a family still waiting in Ghana for their children's visas. They are hopeful that things are progressing, however, the wait has been weary and they long to get home with their children.
