Intercountry Adoption Changes Thursday, February 15, 2007 (275 reads)
Intercountry adoption options are becoming more limited. More and more governments are giving preference to domestic adoption; understandably, they want their children to grow up in their own country. That makes international adoption harder, with fewer countries available, longer waits, and higher costs. Would-be parents have to be more flexible: ready to accept a longer process and a choice of children available for adoption who tend to be older or have special needs and challenges (i.e. harder to place domestically). Our staff can help you navigate the changing scene. For more details, visit the Family Helper website: http://www.familyhelper.net/news/summary.html
